Brora Capital is pleased to announce that it provided the financing for the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club redevelopment in Lighthouse Point, Florida, which broke ground this month. The transaction was led by Todd Richardson, Ignacio Diaz, Jose Padua, and Ben Gluck of Brora Capital.
The project came after nearly a decade of planning, five years of entitlements, and 28 public hearings. Permitting was complete in 2024, but the construction lending market shifted and the project waited. Brora Capital’s financing is what allowed construction to start.
The club has been on this water since 1961. The redevelopment will deliver a new private clubhouse with dining and event space, a fitness and spa complex, five lighted tennis courts, resort pools, and 21 waterfront townhomes, all wrapped around a 78-slip deep-water marina a few minutes from the Hillsboro Inlet.
This closing reflects Brora Capital’s willingness to step in on transitional financing needs that take real work to understand, and to be ready when a project is. Congratulations to Terry Paterson and the team at Paterson Project Management, Inc., who spent several years getting this to the starting line.
