BRORA CAPITAL

Experience and background

Ignacio Diaz is a co-founder and managing partner of Brora Capital, a Boca Raton private lender providing bridge, construction, acquisition, and land financing. He directs operations and the borrower experience, drawing on a development career that ran from land acquisition and entitlements through financing, construction, refinancing, and sale.

He has sat on the borrower's side of the table. In 2020, with lending markets disrupted by the pandemic, he helped secure a $68.5 million non-recourse construction loan from CIM Group for Royal Palm Residences, a 48-residence condominium in downtown Boca Raton that was more than 40 percent pre-sold before construction began. As a managing partner of Group P6, he has also led residential projects in Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, including 327 Royal Palm and the approved 306-unit Modera Boca.

That operating background shapes how Brora underwrites, with terms and structures built around how projects actually get built and sold. Recent closings include a $14.5 million bridge-to-construction loan for Aletto at Sanborn Square in downtown Boca Raton and a $26 million construction loan for Highland Park Residences in Miami.
