Meet Our Team
Ignacio Diaz
Co-founder & managing partner
Ignacio contributes to Brora Capital’s success by directing operations, focusing on borrower experience, and applying deep finance and development expertise. Prior to launching Brora Capital, he executed on the development of more than $350MM in real estate, including land acquisition, entitlements, financing, construction, refinancing, and disposition.
He developed a leadership style at a leading global strategic consulting firm and gained business training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Ignacio was a Siebel Scholar, won the McKinsey Award for academic excellence and leadership potential, and graduated first in his class at MIT.
Jose Padua
Co-founder & managing partner
Jose leads Brora Capital’s business development activities and serves on the firm’s Credit Committee. He manages external and institutional relationships and drives new commercial opportunities.
Prior to launching Brora Capital, he executed on the development of more than $350MM in real estate, including acquisition, entitlement, financing, construction, refinancing, and disposition. Jose is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Todd Richardson
Partner, head of business development & investor relations
Todd oversees investor relations and marketing for Brora Capital. Prior to joining the firm, he led sales efforts for luxury condominium developments. Earlier in his career, he served as president of a public affairs consulting firm in South Florida, representing Fortune 500 companies nationwide.
Ben Gluck
Partner, head of business development & investor relations
Ben is responsible for managing real estate debt investments, as well as credit risk and finance. He brings experience across development and lending, including originating and underwriting loans and managing an active portfolio at a construction and bridge lender.
Previously, Ben worked at Trez Capital, where he originated and underwrote new loans and managed a portfolio of existing loans. He also worked at Capital Properties, overseeing financial performance for a portfolio of residential, commercial, and hotel assets. Ben holds a BBA in finance and economics from Queens College.
Jose E. Padua
Senior executive advisor
Jose is a serial entrepreneur and real estate developer with a track record spanning three continents. Over his lifetime, he has developed more than 4,000,000 sq. ft. of residential and commercial real estate.
He is a founding member of BFGP Ingenieros, a diversified technology and construction company with operations in Colombia and Venezuela, and a partner of IBM and Oracle/JD Edwards in Latin America. Jose is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Universidad Metropolitana) and an M.S. in Statistics (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).
Adam Gusky
Senior executive advisor
Adam has served as Chief Investment Officer of East Asset Management, LLC (the family office of Terrence & Kim Pegula) since 2010. During his tenure, he has participated in more than $750 million of real estate transactions.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Rand Capital Corporation (a publicly traded business development company) and Abacus Global Management (a financial services company specializing in longevity-based assets). Adam was instrumental in taking Abacus Global Management public in 2023 through a SPAC he helped form in 2020 (East Resources Acquisition Company). He earned a B.A. in History and an MBA from Duke University.
